What we'll do
See all the best bits of the Atherton Tablelands on this chilled day trip!
This fun day trip by Barefoot Tours is absolutely the best way for young and young-at-heart travellers to experience the Atherton Tablelands. Starting early in Cairns, you'll board a minibus with 18 other travellers and be entertained by your guide as head into the rainforest. The cool thing about this tour is the flexible itinerary, meaning you won't ever feel like you're just being rushed from one place to the next. Your tour guides have a cheeky, slightly non-PC style of humour and enjoy some good banter.
Throughout the day you'll take dips at some of Cairns most impressive waterfalls (Millaa Millaa falls, Dinner falls, Elinjaa falls), slide down the natural rock slide at Josephine falls, explore the mystic curtain of roots set by a half a century old (Cathedral or) Curtain Fig tree, and swim in the volcanic crater lake known as Lake Eacham. You'll make new friends and enjoy a tropical morning tea, a yummy picnic lunch and snack on Aussie Tim Tams!
This rainforest and waterfalls adventure promises to be full of laughs, adventures and classic Aussie experiences - book your spot today!

About your guides
Barefoot Tours is a Cairns-based small tour company. All of Barefoot Tour's guides have all been involved in tourism and tour guiding for many years. They have travelled extensively throughout Australia and the world, finally settling down in one of their favourite places, Cairns, in the beautiful Far North Queensland.
All Barefoot Tour's guides are excellent swimmers with experience in water safety, so if you tend to impersonate a rock while swimming, don’t worry, you’re in pretty good hands. All guides are required to possess the following: First Aid & CPR training, police checks; water safety/rescue skills; know how to have fun; love to laugh; cheeky, slightly non-PC humour; and the ability to make a good sandwich.
