Spend a full day seeing all of the Great Ocean Road with Wildlife Tours Australia!

Start early in Melbourne and head straight out for the start of the Great Ocean Road. Your driver guide is super knowledgeable and will share the history of this famous coastal road and some local Aboriginal stories. Along the way, you'll stop in sleepy coastal towns, try to spot some koalas and feed parrots at Kennett River and enjoy a guided bushwalk in the ancient Otways rainforest.

In the afternoon you'll see all the main attractions of the Great Ocean Road, including the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge. Your guide will tell you epic stories of this treacherous section of Victoria's coast and the shipwrecks that have occurred here, and you'll have plenty of time to get some great holiday photos.

Wildlife Tours Australia is a small family-owned Melbourne-based tour company that has been entertaining travellers since 1996. They place a strong emphasis on incorporating Australian wildlife into all of their tours, as that is one of the things that makes Australia so special! 

All of Wildlife Tours Australia's guides are carefully selected for their expertise, experience, great personalities and ability to entertain people. They are all well-travelled and therefore understand the needs of other travellers. They undertake a rigorous training program which ensures they are the best in the business. It also means you can relax and feel confident that you’re safe in good hands.


    Your adventure starts with an early pick up from a range of central Melbourne locations. You head straight for the Great Ocean Road, with a morning snack stop at an iconic Aussie beach where you can get some sand between your toes. Then you'll visit the historic Memorial Arch for some photos, before heading to Kennett River to spot wild koalas and feed parrots.

    Afterwards, your group will go on a guided bushwalk in the ancient Otways Rainforest Twelve Apostles. In the afternoon, you'll view the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge, and hear some fascinating stories about their past. Then it is back on the bus and time to head for Melbourne, arriving back at 8:30 pm approximately.


    • What should I bring? A hat, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a camera, water bottle and spending money. It sometimes rains and temperatures can drop quickly, so make sure to bring some warm clothing and a rain jacket. Don't forget your sense of fun and adventure! 
    • Where do we start and finish? Tours start and finish in Melbourne. You can meet at the Athenaeum Theatre, 188 Collins St, Melbourne. There is also courtesy pick-up from a range of hostels and hotels in Melbourne city centre. Contact us after booking to confirm your pick-up location.
    • How long does the tour go for? Tour departs at 7:15 am from the Athenaeum Theatre and return at 8:30 pm approximately.
    • What days does the tour operate? Tours depart daily (except for 25 December and 1 January).
    • What meals are included? Morning tea and lunch is included.
    • Do you cater for specific diets? The tour can cater for a range of dietary requirements, as well as medical conditions/food allergies. Please contact us when booking if you have any specific dietary needs.
    • Who can come? Everyone is welcome on this tour! Most travellers are in the 20s, 30s and 40s. All ages are welcome and there are regularly a few older guests. 

    Cancellation policy

    • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the activity starts will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations made between 2 and 7 days before the activity starts will receive a 50% refund.
    • No cancellations can be made within 2 days of the activity.
