What we'll do
Don't just see Moreton Island, experience it in every way possible on this epic overnight trip!
Moreton Island is a unique paradise of golden beaches, rolling surf and beautiful freshwater lakes, and easily accessible from Brisbane or the Gold Coast as a day trip. Join Australian Sunset Safaris and explore and snorkel the stunning Tangalooma Shipwrecks with a knowledgeable guide.
Australian Sunset Safaris were the first to pioneer “Transparent Kayaks” in Queensland. Kayak around the Tangalooma Shipwrecks and see fish and coral like never before, without even having to go under the water. You'll also get to experience the awesome fish feeding frenzy in the Transparent Kayaks.
After enjoying a wonderful fresh picnic lunch on the beach, you'll take a trip to "The Desert" in the 4WD ‘Tough Bus’. Once here, experience the exhilaration of sliding down the giant sand dunes at speeds of up to 70 kilometres an hour.
In the evening, you'll stay in the rustic “Castaways Beach Resort,” with optional accommodation upgrades available. Enjoy a tasty dinner before some night time transparent kayaking (extra cost). Or you can sit around the campfire, roast marshmallows and have a few drinks with your fellow travellers.
