About your guides
Founded in 1999 by a pair of optimistic young mates, Skydive Australia has grown from the small beachfront operation of Skydive the Beach Sydney in Wollongong NSW, using a single six-seater Cessna 206 to a company with seventeen premium drop zones Australia wide – and more planned.
Skydive Australia is staffed by an energetic young team, passionate about delivering the perfect skydiving adventure. Their skydiving instructors are highly experienced in their field, where many compete on a national and international level. They’re backed by the best flight and ground crew ever.
What should I wear and bring? We recommend wearing comfortable casual clothes. Shorts are fine. The tour operator will provide you with a pair of skydiving pants or a jumpsuit to wear over your clothes. Secure footwear that is not going to fall off is a must. No flip flops, thongs, hiking boots or heels can be worn. Enclosed shoes such as runners or sandshoes are best. Don't forget your sense of fun and adventure!
Where do we start and finish? Your activity starts and finishes at Skydive Newcastle, Lake Macquarie Airport, 864 Pacific Hwy, Marks Point. Free pick-up and drop-off from Newcastle and Sydney is available. If starting in Sydney, you'll meet and be returned to outside Wake Up Hostel on 814 George Street, close to Central Station. You can also choose to get picked up in Chatswood.
How long does the activity go for? Your activity goes for approximately 3 - 6 hours. Sometimes there may be delays due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather (eg certain wind and cloud conditions) and directions from Air Traffic Control.
