You'll paddle past great Sydney icons such as Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and get awesome views of Sydney Harbour Bridge. You'll then land your kayak in a secret cove on Goat Island. Goat Island is home to lots of birdlife, has some of Sydney's oldest colonial-era buildings and great examples of remnant Sydney bush. The island is a designated conservation zone and landing is only allowed by special permit which is arranged for you and included as part of your tour.

Your guide is a fully-qualified sea kayaking expert who will make sure this is a journey you will never forget! Professional grade photos of you in your kayak framed by the Harbour Bridge are included for free.

About your guides

Paddle Pirates is owned and operated by Sydney local, Matt. Matt is a qualified kayak instructor and guide with over 15 years of experience. He's lead kayaking expeditions from Far North Queensland, across the Bass Strait (between Victoria and Tasmania) and around the bottom of Tasmania.

Matt is out on Sydney Harbour most days kayaking and loves to show visitors his favourite spots - and to subject them to some of his "sea shanty" singing while on the water!

        Wonderful morning paddling

We had a wonderful morning paddling with Matt. We went out to the island and had a great chat about the area and then a walk around an island you normally could not go on. Was a brilliant experience with great equipment and a friendly guide.

        Would thoroughly recommend

Matt is a top guy, funny and full of knowledge! Couldnt have asked for a better way to kick of the new year than paddling across the harbour with Matts extensive knowledge. A genuine guy who youll befriend the second you meet him! Would thoroughly recommend this experience if youre in Sydney.

        Would definitely recommend

December 2019. This experience was a Christmas gift to my son, daughter and her boyfriend and I wanted something that they probably wouldnt choose to do off their own back and I am delighted with their response. They thought the whole kayaking adventure was fantastic, they really enjoyed their three hours. Matt engaged the group the whole time and was very thorough with the safety aspects and the dos and donts of kayaking in the Harbour. I would definitely recommend this experience.

        Brilliant day

Fabulous New Years Day kayaking morning. Matt was really friendly and laid back. Got a brilliant tour of Goat Island, somewhere not open to the public, and Matt shared lots of knowledge about the history of the Island and Australia. Brilliant day, would definitely recommend.

No hesitation in recommending this experience

Sydney from another perspective. Awesome trip! My wife and I felt completely safe and comfortable in the capable hands of Matt. From our safety briefing and paddling instructions, he guided us on the waters of Sydney Harbour around and onto Goat Island. He took some great photos of us with the Harbour Bridge in the background and educated us on local historical knowledge. We have no hesitation in recommending this experience to both the novice and experienced paddler. Thanks again Matt!
