    DAY 1

Your sailing adventure starts at 8:15 am where you'll meet your captain and board the vessel. Then it is time to head out from Airlie Beach for the start of your amazing two-day Great Barrier Reef sailing adventure. Your first stop will be visiting pristine bays with coral gardens, exotic fish and aquamarine waters. Snorkelling is the best way to see this amazing underwater marine life. Whether you are a beginner or a bit more experienced, your crew can give you instructions on how to use your snorkel equipment and advise you on the best snorkel places at each stop. Or if you just want to kick back and relax, you can lounge on the spacious decks on the boat or sunbathe on the white sand of Whitehaven Beach. You'll also go on a short bush walk to the Hill Inlet Lookout to get some stunning holiday snaps! After an amazing day and toasting the stunningly beautiful sunset as it sets at the end of a fun-filled sail you’ll be ready to sleep well in your comfortable quarters.

        Wonderful tour

A fellow traveler recommended visiting the Whitsundays with the Waltzing Matilda and it did not disappoint. The boat is well maintained and a really nice sail boat. The crew are lovely, taking very good care of everyone on board. This is not a party boat, but more relaxed and its mostly people 25+. Which was exactly what I wanted. We also were lucky to have enough wind so we got to sail back nearly all the way. The food was good and plenty, beds comfortable. Visiting whitehaven beach is definitely worth it and spending the night on sea gives it a special touch. Plus it allows you to visit the beach after all the tour groups leave. We had it nearly to ourselves. I was worried about getting sea sick, but you can get some cheap tablets at the local chemist that prevent it. Dont let that stop you.

        Highly recommended!!!

One of the best experiences my friend and I have done in Australia so far. Relaxing on the boat, snorkeling on the reef and sunbathing at Whitehaven Beach make this adventure unforgettable. Shoutout to Alex and Ezra which made the trip even more enjoyable thanks to their expertise and funny stories. Highly recommended!!! Book it!

Waltzing Matilda - first class location, nice experience

On our two day, one night sailing trip aboard the Waltzing Matilda we got to see the stunning Whitehaven Beach and snorkelled twice. In the evening we were able to lay on the deck and watch the stars and the milky way. The food was delicious and generous. All activities were facilitated very well by the crew of two. The boat itself is over 40 years old and is showing it. It is not as spacious as described either inside or on deck, there were two USB charging points between 14 guests. The supplied stinger suits have seen better days. But, we absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our trip, right up to the end when the owner knocked the gloss off by haranguing us for not using enough sun protection - hopefully he will learn to leave such customer service messages to the professionals!

Money well spent on our Australian adventure

We visited Australia for two short weeks and this trip was absolutely one of the highlights. On our two day, one night sailing trip aboard the Waltzing Matilda we got to see the stunning Whitehaven Beach and go to two snorkeling spots. The food was delicious, especially considering the cramped quarters in which it was made. Speaking of cramped quarters, there is not a ton of sleeping space and the only air conditioning comes from open windows (provided that its not raining). I highly recommend bringing a battery-operated fan or two!

        Had a great time

Had a great time, even with the rain! Water was warm and was going to get wet anyway. The crew were fantastic as was the food.
